The BBYRA was founded in 1914 and is a Regional Sailing Association (RSA) of 14 sailing yacht clubs located around the waters of Barnegat Bay in New Jersey. The BBYRA hosts an active one-design sailing championship race series each summer and coordinates many other sailing and related events in the area.
The Foundation was formed in 2003 for the purpose of preserving, protecting and advancing the traditions of recreational sailing in and around the Borough of Island Heights, on the Toms River and Barnegat Bay, all of which are located within Ocean County, New Jersey. The Foundation’s primary aim is to facilitate the education of children and promote the advancement of sailing, sportsmanship and on-water safety through the support of youth programs in the Barnegat Bay area.
Save Barnegat Bay was founded in 1971 with the mission to restore and protect the Barnegat Bay and its ecosystem.

The MC Sailing Association originally formed in Shreveport LA, 1971 to promote the sport and sportsmanship of one-design yacht racing in general, and the MC Scow in particular.
ILCANA is the Regional Class Organization for ILCA Dinghy sailing in North America
USODA is the National class organization for Optimist sailing in the United States.
