Committees

Election Committee

Minimum five (5) people, administers annual elections.

Entertainment Committee

Minimum five (5) people, assists the commodore in scheduling and operating social functions.

House and Grounds Committee

Minimum five (5) people, responsible for the maintenance and security of the clubhouse and grounds.

Junior Sailing Committee

Minimum four (4) people, responsible for assisting the junior sailing chairperson to organize and oversee junior sailing and its budget, report to the board, and represent SAYC junior sailing at BBYRA junior sailing meetings.

Marketing Committee

Plans, organizes, and oversees club marketing and submits marketing budget to the commodore and board.

Membership Committee

Minimum three (3) people, promotes the club to perspective new membership, investigates and passes upon the qualifications of all membership applicants to the executive board for a vote.

Mooring Committee

Minimum one (1) person, assists the commodore keeping a list of all boats and trailers on the property and assigns spots and slips.

Race Committee

Minimum five (5) people, assists the vice commodore run, organize, record, and govern races and regattas. This includes a protest subcommittee which hears protests regarding races.

Social Media Committee

Assist the chairperson organize, design, monitor, and update the SAYC webpage and social media sites.

BBYRA Representatives

Represent SAYC at BBYRA meetings and serve as race committee during the BBYRA season.
